So I was poking through some old accounts today and found my old photobucket shots of my one of my favorite high mileage cars I ever owned. 1993 Volvo 960 3.0l estate with 358K miles on it when sold. I bought it for $200, did the t-belt and some cosmetics, then bought an exact color one with 80K on it and a blown belt/motor for $400 with the OE wood trim and a mint interior and 3rd seat. Here were the shots right before it sold. Best $600 I ever spent putting a car together. Long live the Volvo love. I drove this for 3 years and was able to keep it in this good of shape. Everything worked, even the a/c, and those 3.0l's rip and sound brilliant. Oh yeah and that other Volvo in there didn't suck either :)

You are a greyhound enthusiast? :P
Also, I remember way back in the day riding in a backward facing seat like in this one on the way to the amusement park with friends. We thought it was the best thing evar! This was back in the Netherlands where Volvo Estates were common.

Haha, Floyd is an awesome name for a dog! Also, he looks like a cool dude. How are greyhounds temperament wise?

super chill and sweet. That was his racing name too. C's Floyd so I kept it. After they retire they just relax all the time. He is huge too, 95 lbs

Have you had any experience with newer Volvos? Are they any more or less reliable than the old ones?

I think I got around 21-23 in this one. BTW any interest in a 5 speed 850 wagon with 156K on it (front wheel drive)? Buddy of mine is cleaning it up this weekend for sale. $1200. I know the car very well. Some rust on the rockers odd enough but the thing is solid in every other way

Tons of interest but no fundage. Let me see what I can come up with. I could probably sell my Taurus for enough to cover it and finish the loan on it.

yeah you got my contact info. He is a crazy man keeping things clean. He is pulling the seats and doing a full detail on it Saturday. We hunted the thing for ages to find a base model 5 speed. I think the sticker is a few months old. cloth seats, no funkiness, tons of new parts in the past year

How much of the interior did you swap in, just the third row seat or the whole thing?
